Key Information about the Program

The Graduate Program in Restoration was established in 1964 as the first cultural heritage conservation program in Turkey. The program has trained more than 150 experts and contributed to conservation science and practice, with a focus on raising public awareness with regard to the cultural heritage. In 1988, the Graduate Program was awarded as a "Center of Excellence" by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). The program, which has recently been retitled as the Graduate Program in Conservation of Cultural Heritage, retains its leading position.
